# An Introduction to the Maker’s Toolkit

This series of articles are observations, notes, and ideas that can help creators build games based on ARC—as well as Guides wanting to dig deeper into its design foundations and engine.

In other words, these are not player-facing; you don't need to read this to start playing and enjoying ARC!

Think of these as "director extras". Highly optional and most definitely opinionated. But I hope it gives you insight into ARC, and deciding whether some of the ideas behind it could serve you well in making your own works.
